Alli Mauzey Returns to Broadway’s WICKED to Play Glinda for 10th Anniversary

Beginning performances on Tuesday, September 24th, ALLI MAUZEY will return to the role of Glinda in the Broadway production of WICKED.   Ms. Mauzey previously played the role on Broadway and on National Tour.

Mauzey will join a cast which currently includes Lindsay Mendez as Elphaba, Derek Klena as Fiyero, Carol Kane as Madame Morrible, Tom McGowan as The Wizard, Catherine Charlebois as Nessarose, John Schiappa as Dr. Dillamond, and Michael Wartella as Boq.  Katie Rose Clark will play her final performance as Glinda on Sunday, September 22nd.

As WICKED approaches its 10th Anniversary this October 30th, there are currently nine productions of the musical worldwide: New York, London, Japan (Tokyo), Australia/New Zealand (Auckland), South Korea (Seoul), Latin America (Mexico City),  a U.K. Tour, and two concurrent North American National Tours.  Broadway’s #1 show for an unprecedented nine consecutive years, WICKED has been declared “A Cultural Phenomenon” by Variety and “The Best Musical of the Decade” by Entertainment Weekly.

Alli-Mauzey-Wicked-10th-AnniversaryBased on the novel by Gregory Maguire, WICKED has music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz, and a book by Winnie Holzman.  The production is directed by Joe Mantello with musical staging by Wayne Cilento.  WICKED is produced by Marc Platt, Universal Pictures, The Araca Group, Jon B. Platt and David Stone.

ALLI MAUZEY’s other Broadway credits include Lenora in Cry-Baby and Brenda in Hairspray. Regionally Alli has appeared as Sidney in It’s a Bird…It’s a Plane…for City Center Encores, Mallory in City of Angels for Reprise!, Snookie in 110 in the Shade at the Pasadena Playhouse, and Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors at The Muny.
