Yesterday, the Tony Awards Committee met to determine the eligibility of 14 Broadway productions that have already opened this season. The consideration is for the 2014 Tony Awards which will be presented by the American Theatre Wing and the Broadway League at the famed Radio City Musical Hall on June 8, 2014.
According to the press release:
Norbert Leo Butz will be considered eligible in the Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical category for his performance in Big Fish.
Mary Bridget Davies will be considered eligible in the Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical category for her performance in A Night with Janis Joplin.
All other eligibility determinations were consistent with the show’s opening night credits.
Mary Bridget Davis was featured in the November issue of Musical Theatre Mag, which focused on rock musicals.
