Proving that musicals can come from anywhere, Siddhartha the Musical is crossing the pond following a successful European tour that sprang from the humble origins of an Italian prison.
Siddhartha began as a series of workshops at Opera Jail in a maximum security prison in Italy. It transformed into a full-scale musical with Indian, Italian, and South Asian music and huge, spectacular dance numbers to tell the story of how Prince Siddhartha became the Buddha.
